The compact gantry
The FIDIA Go9 A full cast iron gantry structure, direct torque motors on A and C axes, and active thermal control across the entire kinematic chain. Compact footprint, no special foundation required, 24 tons of damping mass.
The Go9 is a 5-axis gantry machining centre designed for high-speed milling of complex workpieces in steel, hardened steel, aluminium, and titanium. Its U-frame cast iron base provides exceptional rigidity and thermal stability without requiring a special foundation, making it a compact but capable solution for mold shops, aerospace suppliers, and automotive die manufacturers.

Backlash-free movement with direct encoders. Two motors on the A axis cradle for maximum rigidity. Active thermal cooling on all motors. - Active Thermal Control
Dedicated chiller on XYZ ball screws and A and C direct motors. Refrigerated spindle with individual chiller to prevent thermal elongation. - High-Speed Ball Screw System
C3 class, preloaded, coolant-through ball screws on XYZ. Gantry Y axis with dual motor and dual optical scale for symmetric drive.

Roto-tilting Table
Three cooled torque motors, two on the A axis and one on C, deliver backlash-free 5-axis interpolation with high clamping torques for heavy-duty positional operations. Direct encoders on both axes guarantee positioning accuracy throughout the machining cycle.
